I partnered with Berlin-based art director Christoph Strohfeld to put his conceptual work, The Edge of the Metaverse, into words for México Design Magazine.

English translation:

In the metaverse, data has become our DNA. Here, our blood and bodies serve us no purpose; data is the protoplasm of our presence, propelling us through a world defined by algorithms and predictive analytics.
At the edge of the metaverse, we explore what lies beyond the realms of our digitized existence: the final resting place for the forgotten files, deleted memories and discarded data points we create as we traverse this virtual landscape. Troves of data flow from each of us to the edge of the metaverse, amassing to form towering structures reminiscent of the organic shapes and textures that command the life cycles of Earth. At the edge of the metaverse, we witness the haunting converging of endings, reminding us that no matter how deep into the digital landscape we venture, our human fate still waits patiently for us on the other side.
